Meet the Shunkwilers ❤︎
Brett and Lindsey met at a local Nebraska pizza shop called Valentino's in 2001 where they were both servers. Lindsey was a high school senior and Brett was a college freshman. Brett likes to think he had all the swagger when he gave Lindsey his number on the very first night they met, but Lindsey took the initiative of setting up and paying for their first date to a hockey game. He made up for it by raising her cool factor by being her prom date to her senior prom. The two dated throughout college and were married in June of 2008. They have three amazing kids and one fluffy Goldendoodle named Honey.
Brett Shunkwiler
Brett earned his degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and got his start in the financial industry in 2005. He quickly gained the knowledge and experience he needed to open his own firm. In 2010, Brett took the leap and founded Shunkwiler Financial with the goal of providing clients the expertise, attention and time they deserve when planning their retirements. In his free time, Brett enjoys spending time with Lindsey and their three kids while cheering on his Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Lindsey Shunkwiler
Lindsey has a Speech Language Pathology degree from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has done public speaking for the non-profit anti-trafficking organization The Set Me Free Project for 5 years. She also serves as a Client Event Coordinator at Shunkwiler Financial and is the Owner and Event Coordinator of a local Lincoln event space called The Forum. In her free time, Lindsey enjoys spending time with Brett and their three kids.
